Rear-Compactor Collections

By far and away the best way to collect plastics for recycling is via a rear-compaction service. While front-lift and side-lift vehicles expose waste to wind and spillage, rear-compaction is clean and allows the driver to better inspect recyclables and provide feedback.

Flat-Top Collections

For some waste products (particularly rigid offcuts, piping etc) a flat-top truck is required. For some collection runs, it will be necessary for clients to have access to forklifts - contact CLAW Environmental to check.

Utility Collections

For sites that have accessibility issues, CLAW may yet be able to arrange collections. Remember, that CLAW is open during the week for clients to self-deliver plastics.

Containment Systems

LDPE Recycling Bags and Frames

CLAW provides clear plastic bags to help collect and contain plastics. Metal frames are also available to help secure the bags, however a deposit will be required. Bags may either be tied up, taped up or otherwise, so long as the plastic is contained well.

Steel Cages

CLAW Environmental have 2.5 cubic metre metal cages that are neat and free of OHS issues. If you're keen to maintain a clean and tidy workplace, and have a forklift handy to move the cages around, these should suit your site. Larger cages are available too.

Bulka Bags

For EPS foam and other products, bulka bags are perfect as they do not as readily tear as LDPE bags may. If onsite shredding of plastics occur, again bulka bags are the preferred containment system. A range of bags can be provided.

Self-Delivery Arrangements

Bay System and Replacement Containers

CLAW accepts almost all plastic material delivered through its gate free of charge during the week, and trucks can be unloaded and loaded with the matter of a few minutes. For bulk loads, please call prior to arrival otherwise follow the directions of factory staff.

Volume-Reduction Equipment

Balers
